What made you fall in love with luxury design? It began at a young age when my mother started a window treatment company while I was in seventh grade. I was immersed in the world of interiors early on, working in every role— from measuring and painting shutters to installations and sales. Tis hands-on experience gave me a deep understanding of craftsmanship, precision, and the impact that thoughtful design has on a space. When I launched Jim Davis Designs, I brought that foundation of expertise with me, blending artistry with execution to create interiors that are timeless and highly personalized. Today, Rickey and I lead the company as partners in life and business, ensuring every project is both beautifully designed and fawlessly delivered.
How do you approach each project?
Every project starts with understanding how my clients live in their space. Window treatments should feel intentional—enhancing the architecture, complementing foundational elements like fooring and wall colors, and seamlessly integrating with the home’s overall aesthetic. I take pride in managing everything from concept to installation, ensuring a fawless execution.
How would you describe your design aesthetic?
It’s rooted in the seamless fusion of form and function—where the space’s architecture informs the design, and every element is considered. Window treatments, in particular, defne a space—they control light, frame the view, and add layers of depth and luxury. Every fabric selection, tailored pleat, and shade movement is precisely executed to create a sophisticated, intentional atmosphere.
What has impacted your journey as an interior designer?
My journey began with a tape measure, a drill, and a vision. My frst client was the CEO of a major architectural frm. From there, my business grew through word of mouth and social media. We’re known for tackling complex window challenges, seamlessly blending timeless design with modern functionality. Travel continually inspires my work, allowing me to refne classic elements in a way that feels fresh, elegant, and efortlessly tailored to each space.
